Red Squirrels

Due to the introduction of the non-native invasive species grey squirrels from North America, the red squirrel population in the UK has steeply declined. Red squirrels are protected under both EU and UK legislation.

Our ecologists can undertake a variety of survey methods to confirm absence or presence of red squirrels, including vantage point surveys, camera trapping, and assisting with license applications. Red squirrel surveys can be undertaken at any time of the year.
